Brian Hamilton retires after 40 years of service
It is the end of an era as Brian Hamilton, our Hygiene Supervisor, retires after 40 years at Silvery Tweed Cereals.
Joining the company in 1988, Brian was originally based at the Roller Flour Mills site near the Berwick docks, where he worked alongside his father, before moving with the business to its current location on the Tweedside Industrial Estate in 1998.
During his tenure at Silvery Tweed, Brian assumed various roles, including in production, warehousing, quality control and latterly in hygiene.
Brian was a great team leader and was respected by all who he worked with. His wealth of knowledge and experience was regularly called on by others to help in other areas of the business.
In retirement, Brian is looking forward to spending time with his wife and grandchildren, as well as supporting his beloved Manchester United.
On Brian’s time and retirement, Silvery Tweed Cereals managing director, Robert Gladstone, said, “Brian has been part of the Silvery Tweed Cereals family for such a long time and has played an important part in driving and delivering the high standards that we have here. We wish Brian a happy and healthy retirement and send a huge ‘thank you’ from everyone at Silvery Tweed for his years of service and dedication.”
