More celebrations for the Silvery Tweed technical team
Silvery Tweed Cereals has another reason to celebrate, as Technical Administrator, Emma Nicholson, has earned her Royal Society of Public Health Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety & Hygiene.
The course, which consists of four days of classroom-based learning, followed by four hours of exams, builds on her existing knowledge but also strengthens the entire technical team.
Talking about her achievement, Emma said, “I am really proud to have achieved this qualification. Food Safety and Quality runs through everything that we do at Silvery Tweed, and this qualification reflects that focus. It is great to be given the opportunity to learn more as I continue to develop in my career.”
This award comes off the back of Emma completing the Level 4 Award in Managing the HACCP System in 2024
Head of technical, Martin Drewery, commented, “This is a fantastic achievement for Emma and something that she has worked very hard for. It is a demanding qualification and a testament to her dedication and expertise.
“At Silvery Tweed, we are committed to investing in employees' professional growth. Emma’s accomplishment highlights our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of food safety. Her expanded knowledge ensures that we continue to be a “safe pair of hands”, providing our customers with products that are not only nutritious, but also produced with the utmost care and attention to safety and quality.”
Recently, Silvery Tweed Cereals were awarded an AA+ in an unannounced Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS) audit, which is widely seen as the gold standard for good food manufacturing practice.
